mixed-use

Mixed-use development is a unique architectural and urban design challenge that blends together different types of programs to create a new building with one identity. The key is to ensure the building functions well on the site and allows for multiple tenants to co-exist without conflict. Blending residential and commercial functions together is both practical and good urban design. The future of the city is heavily reliant upon a greater development of mixed-use buildings on small urban lots. Wells & Company Architects has experience producing successful mixed-use developments in the City of Minneapolis. Our work consists of combining residential living spaces with ground floor retail. Some of the projects shown above are by our office and some of the projects are by other architects, for a full list of our projects - please contact our office. We are always willing to work with developers to provide fit plans and schematic designs for a site. We know development can be risky and we want to work with our clients to lower their risk by investing our time on the front end to make sure the project is financially feasible.
